  On 9 July 2009 GEPLAC will organize a seminar on Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) – EU Policy and Best Practice for the DCFTA Working Group.
29.Jun.09 - Seminar on Food Safety Regulation in the EU
  On 29 June 2009, GEPLAC in cooperation with the EU project “Support to the improvement of the quality of food safety, veterinary and plant protection system in Georgia” organized a seminar in the context of preparation for the negotiations on Deep and Comprehensive Free trade Agreement (DCFTA) with the EU.
23.Jun.09 - Seminar on EU Trade Policy and Tariffs
  On 22-23 June 2009, GEPLAC organized two seminars for the DCFTA negotiations Working Group. The seminar was conducted by the GEPLAC EU short term expert Dr. Ramunas Vilpisauskas. During the first seminar Dr. Vilpisauskas addressed the EU trade policy related issues.
12.Jun.09 - Seminar on Technical Regulations of the EU
  On June 11, 2009 GEPLAC, in cooperation with the EU project “Support to Implementation of Art. 51 of the PCA”, organized a seminar on technical regulations of the EU for the DCFTA negotiations Working Group. The seminar was held as a capacity building measure in the context of preparation for the negotiations on Deep and Comprehensive Free trade Agreement (DCFTA) with the EU.
21.May.09 - Analyses of the EC Progress Report (practical part)
  Practical part of the workshop on analysis of the European Commission (EC) progress report on Georgia and other ENP partner countries was held on May 21 in GEPLAC premises. Klaudijus Maniokas, GEPLAC Team Leader and Kakha Gogolashvili, Local GEPLAC Director conducted the workshop. Participants from the Georgian government institutions analyzed the EC report on Georgia and identified the areas where both progress and concerns were reported. They focused in particular on the parts of the report on trade related matters and cooperation on justice, freedom and security.
18.May.09 - Europe Day at GEPLAC
  On the 9th of May 1950, Robert Schuman presented his proposal on the creation of an organised Europe, indispensable to the maintenance of peaceful relations. This proposal, known as the "Schuman declaration", is considered to be the beginning of the creation of what is now the European Union.
